Broiled Halibut Steak

4 serving

  •    vegetable oil spray
  • 4 4oz halibut steaks
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (1/2 lemon)
  • 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  •    paprika

Place halibut in a plastic bag. Combine lemon juce, soy sauce and garlic powder and pour over fish. Place in refrigerator for a couple of hours to marinate.

Remove halibut from bag and place on a rack in a broiler pan that has been sprayed with vegetable oil spray. Sprinkle with paprika. Broil about 4 inches from the heat for 4 to 5 minutes. Turn carefully and broil for another 4 to 5 minutes, until fish flakes easily with a fork. (Caution: don't overcook as this dish has a tendancy to dry out).

Garnish with the lemon slices.
