Spicy Oven Fries

4 servings

Much lower in fat than their deep-fried cousins.

  • 1 ½ pounds russet potatoes, (2 large
       or 4 medium), unpeeled, scrubbed
  •    Cooking spray
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt

Preheat to 375° degrees.

Coat a glass baking dish lightly with a cooking spray. Cut each potato lengthwise into 16 french fries. Combine the chili powder and garlic salt.

Arrange the fries in a single layer on baking dish. Coat fries on all sides with the vegetable oil spray; sprinkle with spicy mix. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes.

Cooking for 1 or 2: Cut all ingredients in half.
