Polynesian Burgers 

6 servings

 

  • 1 1/2 pounds Ground Skinless Turkey Breast
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 cup sweet and sour sauce,
       bottled, (14 oz jar)
  • 1 8 oz. can canned crushed pineapple
       in juice, drained

In large bowl, combine turkey, bread crumbs, soy sauce, ginger and 1/4 cup of the sweet and sour sauce; mix gently. Shape into 6 burgers.

Heat broiler. Place burgers on an oiled broiler pan; broil 4 to 6 inches from heat from 9 to 13 minutes or until burgers are no longer pink, turning once.

Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine remaining sweet and sour sauce with crushed pineapple. Cook and stir until thoroughly heated.

Serve burgers with sauce . (May serve on burger buns).
